Wollerton Water Main Replacement – Update 17 January

Wollerton Road Closure Map Oct 2018 to March 2019

Update Friday 18 Jan: We have been informed this afternoon that the traffic lights will be removed by the end of today. Samantha Pedley of Amey also said that she would be informing Arriva, that the 64 will be able to use Mill Road from tomorrow. Whether or not it start doing so tomorrow or on Saturday is not clear at the time of writing.

The webteam has been informed that Severn Trent Water’s contractors Amey are making progress with Phase 2 of the water main replacement. So far they have not been able to remove the traffic lights from the Mill Road/Wood Lane cross roads and so it has not yet possible for the 64 bus to return to using the intended diversion route.
This week’s update from Samantha Pedley, Amey Customer Liaison Officer reads:

We have now competed phase 1 and started the road closure on phase 2 from Wollerton crossroads towards Drayton fields, we are on schedule to complete by the target date. We are hoping to achieve getting the traffic light signals removed by the end of the week although the road closure will still be in place.
We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during these works.
