Another opportunity to see Hodnet's Glow-worms

The weather may have put some people off joining last Friday’s glow-worm walk, but it did not deter the glow-worms. The highest number this year were spotted, fifty-nine in all. For a report, including video see here.
The Footpath Group’s guides are offering to repeat the session, next Friday evening – 29th June, in the hope of a slightly warmer evening which might entice more people to come. The walk will start around 10:30pm and last for about an hour. The meeting point is  the council yard (old auction yard) in Station Road, Hodnet.
If you’d like to come along, please send our Secretary an email giving your contact phone number so we can let you know at short notice if this event is re-scheduled (ie: in the case of bad weather – ideally weather conditions need to be warm and dry – we are unlikely to see anything if it is cold and wet!).
BE WARNED THAT THIS IS A WALK IN THE DARK OVER UNEVEN GROUND AND A TORCH, SENSIBLE CLOTHING AND STURDY FOOTWEAR ARE ESSENTIAL. BECAUSE OF THE NEED FOR DARKNESS AND THE TIME OF YEAR, THIS WILL BE A LATE NIGHT POSSIBLY ENDING AROUND 11.30 TO MIDNIGHT!
ANY CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING ANY ESSENTIAL MEDICATION.
Hodnet Footpath Group can not accept any liability for loss of or damage to property [inc clothing and personal effects].
