Two road accidents within minutes of each other

The Shropshire Fire and Rescue service website reports two road traffic incidents in the Hodnet area on Friday night (25 Jan 2013).
The first, which was logged at 7:18pm involved a saloon car which was on its side in a roadside ditch on the A442, Hodnet Heath. A 20 year old male was trapped within the vehicle and he was released with the aid of cutting equipment. He was taken to hospital by ambulance and the incident was closed around 7:58pm.
The second accident was reported at 7:55pm and happened in Marchamley. A 4×4 vehicle came to rest on its side, though no one was trapped inside it. The fire crews made the vehicle safe and closed the incident at 8:13pm.
Both incidents were attended by the appliance from Hodnet, another from Market Drayton, along with the Rescue Tender from Wellington and an officer from Shrewsbury.
